STAFF QUALIFICATIONS |
|
| At Belle’s and Beau’s Academy, we hold ourselves and our staff to a higher standard. Each of our staff members meet and exceed the state of Colorado’s standards for employees in the child care field. | |
| Because our classrooms are each run by one teacher, instead of one big room with several teachers, all of our classrooms are run by group leader qualified individuals. The standards for group leader qualifications are set by the state of Colorado. Below is the current standard for group leader qualifications. As you can see, there are several ways to meet this standard and our staff’s qualifications within these guidelines are as varied as they are. | |

|
| Our Kindergarten classroom teachers meet the same qualifications and standards as Kindergarten teachers in the public schools. | |
| The Director or an Assistant Director is on site during the entire day. At least two members of the administrative team meet the state qualifications for a center director. We also have an on-site Program Director who coordinates all educational aspects of the program, from lesson plans to special events, to classroom instruction. If you have any questions, one of the administrative team is always available. | |
| All staff members are required to complete a Colorado Bureau of Investigations background check, a fingerprint check, CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions training. All group leaders are required to attend a minimum of nine hours of continuing education each year. Each staff members is required to complete an interview and trial day before they can be hired to work for Belle’s and Beau’s Academy. After being hired, each staff members undergoes a thorough orientation by the director during their first thirty days of employment. All staff members have a ninety day probation period where we continue to evaluate their status here at Belle’s and Beau’s Academy. | |
