January 2012

  • January 2nd – New Year's Holiday – Belle’s and Beau’s Academy is CLOSED.
  • January 16th – 20th – Cowboy and Cowgirl Dress-Up Week – Feel free to dress-up in western attire any time this week in celebration of the National Western Stock Show!
  • January 16th – Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Belle’s and Beau’s Academy is OPEN.
  • January 23th – Private Kindergarten Progress Reports go home – The second of our tri-semester progress reports go out for our Private Kindergarten parents.
  • January 23rd – Chinese New Year Parade – Belle’s and Beau’s academy celebrates the year of the dragon with a parade through our center and special classroom activities.
  • January 27th – Teddy Bear Picnic – All children are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear to have a special lunch with us that day.
  • January 31st – Backwards Day – In celebration of National Backwards Day, we’re going to have a little fun and everyone is encouraged to wear their clothes backwards!
  • January 30th – February 3rd – Parent Teacher Conferences for Private Kindergarten – Parents are given the opportunity to talk privately, one on one with our Private Kindergarten teacher about their child’s progress.

  • February 14th – Valentine’s Day Parties – Each classroom will be hosting a special party with a special activity for all of our children.
  • February 15th – Dentist Visit – The children in our three year old rooms and above will have a lesson in dental hygiene from a local dentist here at Belle’s and Beau’s Academy.
  • February 20th – President’s Day – Belle’s and Beau’s Academy is OPEN.
  • February 21st – Mardi Gras Parade - In celebration of Mardi Gras, each classroom will create fun masks to wear in our parade through our center.
  • February 27th – March 2nd – Read Across America week begins – Celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday and the gift of reading. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to come and read to their child’s class!
  • February 29th – Leap Year Parties – Celebrating the extra day we have in the year 2012. All classrooms will have a special event planned and a small party for the children.
March 2011
  • March 1st and 2nd – Read Across America Week – Celebrating the birth of Dr. Seuss and the gift of reading with all of our children. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to come and read to their child’s class!
  • March 16th – St. Patrick’s day Party – Each classroom will host a special party for the children and our center will have a mysterious visit from a nice little Leprechaun.
  • March 22nd and 23rd – Lil’ Angel Photography “dress-up” pictures – Lil’ Angel Photography will be here to take individual photographs of your children with special “dress-up” outfits on.
April 2011
  • April 6th – Spring Parties and Egg Hunt – Each classroom will host a special party for the children and a special visitor will make an appearance! The children will also participate in an egg hunt outside!
  • April 23rd – 27th – Week of the Young Child – Children will be the center of attention this week! Special activities will be happening all week long around NAEYC’s theme “early years are learning years”.
May 2011
  • May 7th – 11th – Teacher Appreciation Week – This week we celebrate our wonderful teachers here at Belle’s and Beau’s Academy. Please contact the front office for special information about your child’s teacher.
  • May 7th - 18th – Scholastic Book Fair – Our Spring book fair will be here for two weeks. Come look at the wonderful selection of books!
  • May 11th – Mother’s Day Tea – A special party to celebrate the special mom’s in our children’s lives. All moms, grandmothers, and special ladies in your child’s life are invited to this event.
  • May 7th – Progress Reports go home – The final trimester reports go home for Private Kindergarten parents and the second semester reports go home for all other children at Belle’s and Beau’s Academy.
  • May 18th – Spring Fling – Our three year olds, four year olds, Jr. Kindergarten and Private Kindergarten will each present songs and finger plays on the patio in the afternoon.
  • May 14th – 18th – Parent Teacher Conferences – Parents of all children are given the opportunity to talk privately with their child’s teacher one on one to discuss progress, concerns, and ask questions.
  • May 25th – Kindergarten Graduation – Belle’s and Beau’s Academy will present its annual Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony followed by lunch and dessert from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend this special event.
  • May 28th – Memorial Day – Belle’s and Beau’s Academy is CLOSED.
June 2011
  • June 4th – Pool Opens for the Summer - Our pool opens for free swimming at specified times and swimming lessons - all with certified life-guards on duty for our 3 year olds and older. Our one and two year olds enjoy “Splash Days” with wading pools, sprinklers, and water tables outside.
  • June 8th – Field Day – Children spend the morning participating in outdoor games and activities prepared by the teacher’s. A fun welcome to the summer!
  • June 15th – Father’s Day Dessert – A special party to celebrate the special dad’s in our children’s lives. All dads, grandfathers, and special men in your child’s life are invited to attend this ice cream social.
July 2011
  • July 3rd – Bike Parade and St. Jude Trike-A-Thon – All children are invited to bring their bike to school with a helmet which is required. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes with our patriotic red, white, and blue!
  • July 4th – Independence Day – Belle’s and Beau’s academy is CLOSED.
