Our classrooms at Belle’s and Beau’s Academy are set up a little different than most child care centers. Each age group (ages one through four) is divided into four small classrooms that enable us to offer a low teacher to child ratio. Our classroom set up allows for the teachers to work with the children in small groups. The classroom design also allows for more one on one interaction as well as encouraging socialization and cognitive developmental growth.

Our smaller classroom size enables teachers to personalize their activities and academic focuses based on the individual child’s social and cognitive needs. This allows for the children to reach their highest potential and meet the goals set by themselves, their teacher, and their parents. Our classroom set up fosters a positive relationship between teachers, children, and their families. Along with the benefits of the smaller class size, each classroom has a variety of toys and activities that promote an age-appropriate education in a loving and nurturing environment.

We utilize the Creative Curriculum program in our classrooms. Creative Curriculum is a research based program which affords each teacher the ability to tailor their classroom activities to the current dynamics of their classroom. We do not believe in the “one size fits all” approach to curriculum. We want our teachers incorporate the children’s interests, personalities, and skill levels into their daily plans and overall curriculum.
